We are seeking information on the USS Strong and her crews. Files and photos
may be E-mailed to us and we will
incorporate them into this page. When enough information has been assembled
we will then build the ship her own section.

Dear Mark;
My name is Keith DuBay. I am a 46-year-old WW II history buff who is seeking any information about my
uncle, Frank Alby, who was killed serving aboard the Strong in the Solomon Islands. I have not yet found
a ship crew list or any information about Uncle Frank, other than that my mother knows he served on board
and was killed then. We do not have his Social # so the Navy can't help us.
Any leads would be welcome! I want to try to contact any of the men who are still alive who knew uncle
Frank and could tell me something about him.
Thank you very much.

P.S. My brother Chris retired from the Navy after serving for 20 years, including on the Ticonderoga
and the Ranger.
