Sliding down the Ways
Greetings,

I went on board the Knox while she was in Pearl, September 1969. I was on R & R from my combat post in IV Corps, Vietnam at the time. My older brother, ET-1 William Dillion was stationed there, working on her electronic gear. He was so proud of his "new ship".
He went with her to Washington, pictures from a leaflet he sent me are attached. There are actually (4) altogether, do you want the others? I will add his name to her roster, however I am sad to say he passed away in 1971. he dearly loved the Navy. He had previously served on the U.S.S. Ault (DD-698).
Thank you for your dedication, and service to our country.

Sincerely, (SP-5) Noah B. Dillion
